ABOUT IELTS

IELTS is an abbreviation of International English Language Testing System. IELTS itself is extraordinarily renowned for its global acceptability for studying abroad, working overseas or applying for migration in the countries where English is the native language.

IELTS is managed and controlled jointly by University of Cambridge, British Council and IDP. IELTS is trusted by more than 11,000 organizations worldwide, so you may take the test knowing that it will be accepted by universities, employers, governments, and professional organizations all across the world. IELTS, which helped establish the four-skill English language testing format 30 years ago, is still the gold standard for English language exams today. IELTS is used by the governments of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom to process immigration requests.

The purpose of IELTS is to offer a fair and reliable evaluation of English language skills. Language experts from the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada create the test questions. The test is divided into four categories: speaking, writing, reading, and listening. The IELTS test covers real-world scenarios. It treats exam takers from all backgrounds equally and impartially.

There will be no such intervals in Computer-Delivered IETLS exams.

No, you are not allowed to use a pen in your IELTS exam. Pencils are only used in the IELTS exam.

You can take the IELTS test as many times as you wish. There is no minimum or maximum time limit in attempting the IETLS exam. However, it is suggested to take a minimum of three months of preparation time before hopping into another IELTS test.

You will be asked to wear off your all gadgets and keep your devices outside the examination hall. That is why it’s not a good idea to carry a lot of things during your exam except necessary stuff.

No, you will not get any moment to transfer the answers to the answer sheet as soon as the 60 minutes are over in the paper-based IELTS exam. However, the Computer screen will get locked for the Reading module after completing the Reading test there.

Listening: It will remain the same for both. Reading: Types of the questions are different but passages are taken from different genres and resources for both Academic and GT Writing: In the Writing module GT Task 01 is Letter Writing and Task 02 is Essay writing.
